Our Staff of Black Belts & Instructors
While other schools in Billings may "teach Krav Maga," ours actually has certified instructors who have achieved legitimate rank in a recognized system and have also met the qualifications to be an instructor. You won't find that in other schools. You also won't find the number of certified Black Belts and high level students we develop.
Dennis Forleo - Lead Instructor
USKMA 3rd Degree Black Belt & Law Enforcement Instructor Dennis has been involved in many different martial art styles since 1985. He started in Taekwondo and reached a 4th Degree Black Belt in that style. He has also studied Japanese Ju Jitsu and reached a 6th Degree Black Belt in that style. He is a 7th Degree Black Belt in Chi-Tu Do and also an 8th Degree in Kabaroan Eskrima. He has been teaching for over 35 years and has taught people from age 4 to age 80. He was promoted to 3rd Degree Black Belt in Krav Maga on October 7, 2022. |
Leslie Dunaway - USKMA 2nd Degree Black Belt & Law Enforcement Instructor
Leslie began her journey in Krav Maga after having her son in martial arts for a couple of years. She has quickly grown into an outstanding instructor and teaches regularly in both the Krav Maga and Chi-Tu Do programs. She gets charged up by seeing her students succeed in Krav and in life. She successfully tested for 2nd Degree Black Belt in March 2021. Leslie leads the free women's self-defense classes that we teach monthly. |
Sarah Hill - USKMA Black Belt & Law Enforcement Instructor
Sarah began her self-defense journey in the summer of 2017. As a survivor of childhood abuse, she felt the training helped her to not only face the fears from her past, but to stop allowing those fears to control her. Sarah enjoys teaching Krav Maga and passing on things she has learned. A stay-at-home mom, Sarah enjoys drawing, reading, and homeschooling her children. Sarah passed her Black Belt test in April 2020. She enjoys teaching the Level 1 classes for new students. |
Amanda Lord - USKMA Black Belt & Law Enforcement Instructor
Amanda also started in 2017 as a way to help her body deal with the daily struggles of MS (Multiple Sclerosis). In that regard, she is a true fighter and champion. Amanda loves to teach and work with ladies who have a history of past trauma or abuse and help them move forward on their journeys. A mother of 2, she is always striving to be challenged so she can learn to overcome. She tested for her Black Belt and passed along with Sarah in April 2020. The two of them often teach together. They teach most of the intro lessons for our brand new students. |
Christian Duffus - USKMA Black Belt Instructor
Christian started training at Billings Krav Maga in the Fall of 2017 and came to us with some traditional martial arts experience. He quickly picked up the concepts and techniques of Krav Maga and blossomed into a fierce practitioner. He took the instructor's course and began helping out in classes. He passed his KM Black Belt test in February of 2021 and currently teaches a few classes a week. |
Donald Chaney - USKMA Level 4 Instructor & Law Enforcement Instructor
Donnie lives and trains in Anaconda, Montana - about 3 1/2 hours from Billings, but makes the drive almost weekly to train with us. He started training Krav Maga in August of 2020 and came to us with some boxing, BJJ and traditional martial arts experience. Donnie works in corrections and runs Ten Snakes Krav Maga in Anaconda and also comes to Billings a few times per month to train and help teach. He is currently training in Level 5 and hopes to take his Black Belt test in October 2023. |
